It’s Time to Move the Mountain by Tammy Nicole Glover

“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their hearts but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.” Mark 11:23 NIV

I woke up this morning with a mountain so huge that when I sat up, I hit my head against it. I don’t know exactly when or how it became so huge but I know I can no longer ignore it. I’m tired of looking at it. I said to the mountain, “you make me sick.” It still sat there, unmoved, while I became physically ill. I was too weak to try to climb the mountain so I decided to go around it. Unfortunately, I discovered that my mountain was far too wide to go around. I had to face it head on, but how?

I know I have faith that is at least the size of a mustard seed. I know what God’s Word says and I believe.  Why won’t this big, stupid, ugly mountain move? I cried out to the Lord for help and I heard Him say, “speak My Words.”

Once again, I face the mountain and I say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. God has not given me a spirit of fear but of peace, love and a sound mind. I forgive others as God forgives me. God has provided for all my needs according to His riches in glory. I am fearfully and wonderfully created by God. I am a new creation in Christ. By Jesus’ stripes, I am healed. God has not forsaken me nor has He left my side. God loves me, I am His child. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I will praise the Lord at all times.”

As I speak, I feel a renewed strength grow inside me. I can still see the big, stupid, ugly mountain but now I can see a God who is bigger and mightier. I can see His angels encamped around me. I feel the power of the Holy Spirit inside of me. I’m ready to tell that mountain to move in the mighty name of Jesus, and the mountain moved.

“In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8:37 NIV

I Know What I Did By Tammy Nicole Glover

“Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.’ And you forgave the guilt of my sin.” Psalm 32:5 NIV

I know what I did. I’ve hurt people and displeased my Heavenly Father. I’ve been mean. I’ve said hurtful things and I’ve judged people harshly. I have not only acted this way towards others but I am just as guilty as acting this way towards myself. In fact, I have probably hurt myself more than I have hurt others. I’ve tried to self medicate my pain instead of allowing God to heal me. I was wrong.

Although, God was not surprised by my actions and thoughts, He was still displeased. He taught me better than this. Instead of allowing my guilt to continue to disrupt my sleep and hold me back from receiving my blessings, I decided to confess my sins to the Lord. I decided to turn over all my past hurts and all of my weaknesses to Him. I decided to pray and bless others instead of saying something unkind.

Do you know what He did after that? He forgave me completely. He healed everything that was broken inside of me. He softened my heart to his instructions. What a blessing it is to be forgiven. I am free to become the person God has created me to be and I am free to do what He has called me to do, which is to love others and bless them. I can love without fear now because I know that If I do get hurt, God will heal me again.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteosness.” 1 John 1:9 NIV

Stop Lifting Up What Is Tearing You Down By Tammy Nicole Glover

“You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.” Matthew 5:3 MSG

You have big problems in your life. You’re feeling overwhelmed, confused, frustrated and lost. Some of you may even be feeling as if you are at the end of your rope and if you don’t get some relief immediately, you will not make it. I ask you, how long are you willing to allow your circumstances to beat you down? How long will you allow yourself to remain stressed out? Have you truly forgotten who your Heavenly Father is?

Let me remind you that your Heavenly Father is God Almighy. He created the universe. He is the same God that led the Israelites into freedom. He is the same God that parted the Red Sea so that they could flee from pharoah’s army. He is the same God that protected Daniel in the lion’s den. He is the same God that heals sickness. He is the same God that sent His Son to die for you. He is the same God that rose Jesus from the dead. He is the same God that loves you. He is the same God that sees your struggle and has compassion for you.

His hand is waiting to lift you up but instead of reaching for His hand, you ignore it. You grab a hold of the very things that have been tearing you down. Do you really believe that He is unable to help you or are you too prideful to ask for His help? Do you refuse to go to him because you doubt or do you think you are unworthy of his help?

Please, listen to me, God is big enough, powerful enough and He loves you enough to see you through whatever you’re dealing with today. The same God that knows exactly how many hairs you have on your head is the same God that is patiently waiting for your call. When He hears his children cry out to Him for help, He moves swiftly. He will not allow his children to be bullied. He will give you strength, wisdom and favor. You don’t have to know how He will do it, you just have to trust Him and believe that He will provide whatever you need, when you need it. Stop magnifying your problems and recognize that God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that you could ever imagine or think.

“With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.” Psalm 18:29 NIV

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.” Psalm 28:7 NIV

Delayed Reaction By Tammy Nicole Glover

“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out the workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:37 NIV

Do you ever murmur and complain about the things that God calls you to do? Do you put it off because sometimes what He’s calling you to do seems so small that it’s not worth the inconvenience? Before you procrastinate doing something that God has called you to do, ask yourself if your delayed reaction will cause an answer to someone’s prayer be delayed. Ask yourself if you will be responsible for someone else to stumble.

If you put off praying for someone or something that God has put on your heart, will it mean that someone’s suffering will be prolonged? If you put off giving away something that you never use, will someone who truly needs it go without? If I hold off on giving to a charity that has touched me spirit, will it mean that someone will starve? If I don’t give someone an encouraging word, will that mean that someone will give up on life? If I decide to wait to tell someone about Jesus, will that mean that someone will spend an eternity in hell?

When God calls us to do something it is to fill a need. We are his arms, his hands, his legs and his feet on earth. We are not to just focus on ourselves. We are supposed to be following his example and loving others. Loving others means being inconvenienced sometimes. It means stepping out of our comfort zones. It means sacrificing. Someone is praying for a miracle and God maybe calling you to be that miracle. Don’t ignore his call. It is an honor and a blessing to be used by God.

“If anyone causes one of these little ones-those who believe in me-to stumble, it wuold be better for them to have a large millstone hang around their neck and to be drowned in the sea.” Matthew 18:6 NIV

Step Back By Tammy Nicole Glover

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Step back, take a deep breath and listen closely. You can not go through trials and tribulations by yourself. You were never meant to go through them alone. The Lord did not mean for you lean on your own understanding. You were meant to lean on and trust in Him.

You were shocked and confused when the storm hit but God is never shocked. He saw what was coming well in advance. He’s not surprised when illness strikes, when a job is lost, when a family member is struggling with an addiction or when a financial crisis hits. He knew when it was going to happen and how to fix it.

Stop praying and asking God to deliver you and then pushing Him aside. Miracles can’t happen without Him and they can’t happen if your faith is placed in yourself and not in Him. Step aside and let God take the lead. He will open doors that you never knew existed. He will move and leave skeptics speechless. You are never alone. Don’t let your pride, fear, doubt or yourself stop you from receiving your breakthrough.

“Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand.” Psalm 20:6

It’s Already Blessed By Tammy Nicole Glover

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33 NIV

Some of us are wondering where our blessings are but if we look at ourselves we will realize that we haven’t done what God has called us to do. We have been waiting on God when He has been waiting on us to move. There are a lot of us that know what God has called us to do, yet we haven’t started. We want to do it and we have good intentions to do it but we find excuses not to do it. We let fear rule instead of our faith. Some of us have just flat out chosen to ignore what God has called us to do. We can’t see how what He has called us to do is important or relevant. We are comfortable where we are and we don’t want to put forth the effort to do anything anyway. Then there are some that don’t know what God has called them to do and aren’t trying to find out. They’re way too busy being led by the cares of this world.

Please, listen to me when I tell you that if God has called you to do something it is important. He has already blessed it. Yes, you will have to work. No, you won’t be able to do it on your own but then again you’re not supposed to. Do you realize that when we ignore God’s call, we are not only being disobedient but we are being selfish? God’s calling on your life is not about you. It’s about being a blessing to someone else. You are walking in love when you answer His call. Someone is in desperate need of whatever God has called you to do. Some of us are the product of someone else being obedient to God’s call. We may have found out about Jesus because someone was obedient enough to tell us. Our lives may have been saved because someone was obedient enough to pray for us. We may have been encouraged during a difficult time because someone was obedient enough to encourage us.

Answering God’s call is not something to take lightly. God’s call on your life is vital. If you are a believer, you are a soldier in God’s kingdom. We all have our parts to play. We are one body made up of many parts. If one part of the body isn’t working then the whole body is weakened. When one part is blessed then the whole body is blessed. Don’t miss out on your call and miss out on your blessing.

“Therefore my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:58

God is With You By Tammy Nicole Glover

“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?” Psalm 139:7 NIV

God is with you. People will oftentimes say this to bring comfort to someone in time of need. However, these are not just mere words of comfort, God really is with you, always.

Yes, He is with you when you’re hurting. He is with you when you’re in danger and He’s with you when you are stressed out. He is with you when the sun is shining and everything is going your way too.

Sometimes, we forget that He’s also with us when we complain, when we gossip, when we judge others without knowing the full story. He’s with us when we’re angry and refuse to forgive. He’s with us when we turn our backs on someone in need. He’s even with us when we’re somewhere we’re not supposed to be, with someone we’re not supposed to be with and doing something we’re not supposed to be doing.

Thankfully, nothing we do ever shocks God. He knows us better than we know ourselves. We also have a merciful God. We are able to come to him to not only comfort us when we’re hurting but to ask for forgiveness and receive His forgiveness through his Son Christ Jesus.

God is with you. He loves you. He doesn’t want you to ever be afraid to come to Him for whatever you need. You are never alone.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39 NIV

The Ones I Let Go by Tammy Nicole Glover

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Matthew 21:22 NIV

To the ones I let go,

First of all, we were never friends. All you did was cause me misery, sickness and a lot of sleepless nights. Faith finally helped me realize that I didn’t have to put up with you any longer. I could have better friends like Joy, Mercy and Love. Now, when people see me, they see them and they want to be around me. I’m no longer bringing others down. I’m proud to say that I am now encouraging others to let go of their worries, anger, guilt shame and depression. There is enough faith, joy, mercy and love to go around.

I know you were confused when I casted you away. My Heavenly Father, also known as, El Shaddai-God Almighty, told me to cast you into His hands. He is more than capable of taking care of you. I will not be telling him that I miss you because I don’t want you back. I’d be lying if I said that I was sad about that. You were all burdens that I was never meant to carry.

Goodbye forever.

Sincerely,
Faithful Believer

“With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” Mark 10:27 NIV

The Cast Away By Tammy Nicole Glover

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 NIV

My Dearest Friend,

What has happened to us? We’ve been inseparable for so long, I didn’t think anything could tear us apart. When people saw you coming, they saw me. I’m so confused. What would possess you to cast me aside like this? How could you throw all of our years together away like this? What are you going to do without me?

I bet it was that Faith causing all this trouble. I knew it was trouble the moment I saw it lingering in the shadows, just watching and waiting for you to notice it. Once you noticed it you have been a completely different person. I don’t like it. I miss the old you. The one that hung out with me all the time and didn’t ignore me.

It’s ok though, someone who calls himself El Shaddai caught me while I was drifting aimlessly with your other friends, Anger, Fear, Guilt, Shame and Depression. What a bunch of clowns…how could you hang out with them? Anyway, El Shaddai is taking real good care of us now but he won’t let us run back to you. If you just tell him that you miss us, I’m sure he’ll let us come home. Don’t you miss us? Why can’t we come back home? How are your new friends better than us? What does Faith, Joy, Mercy and Love have that we don’t have?

Maybe one day you’ll let us come back home. It’s ok we’ll wait for you.

Sincerely,

Your Worries

“Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” Matthew 6:27 NIV

Thank You By Tammy Nicole Glover

“Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing” Luke 23:34 NIV

You sat in glory since the beginning of creation. You saw how we struggled. You saw us dig ourselves in a hole that was so deep that there was no way we could get out of it ourselves. We didn’t even realize that we were even in a hole. We just thought that we were evolving. We were so blinded by our mess that we couldn’t even see that the hole was leading us to eternal damnation.

You came down from heaven to live among us. We were so used to our mess that we couldn’t recognize your presence. We couldn’t believe that you would lower yourself for us, yet you still revealed yourself to us. We denied you, we allowed you to be tortured and murdered, yet you still forgave us with your last breath as you hung on a cross. You took our place in hell and conquered death because you knew that eventually we would see our mess.

You love us so completely. No one has ever done something so beautiful and amazing for us. You went back to heaven to prepare a place for us. As you prepare, you are still patiently waiting for the good news to be spread across the ends of the earth. You’re still giving us a chance to come to you before it’s too late.

Thank you, Jesus. Thank you for loving me so much. Thank you for all that you endured on my behalf. It is because of you that I am able to call the Lord Almighty my father. It’s because of you that I am able to receive healing. It’s because of you that I have an army of angels protecting me and my family. It’s because of you that I am more than a conqueror. It is because of you that I am saved. No one else has done what you have done for me. There is nothing that I can do that will ever repay you for what you’ve done for me but you love me anyway. Thank you.

“I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.” John 10:10 MSG
