“There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:4
It’s that time again, the end of another season and the beginning of new one. We only want spring and summer and we fight the cold, barren autumn and winter seasons. Our lives are a lot like this too.
Some of you are going through a season of change in your lives. Some are in winter, every step you take feels like you’re walking on thin ice. They’re cold and feel isolated. Be encouraged, God’s hands will keep you steady. “If the Lord delights in a man’s ways, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.” Psalm 37: 23-24
Some people are going through their autumn season. Their harvest hasn’t been as bountiful and their soil has hardened. Their life feels bare, like the trees, whose leaves have fallen to the ground. Be encouraged, God will provide. “For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things” Psalm 107:9
Some of you are blessed to be in your summer season. It’s a relaxing and playful time. The sun is shining on you, making you feel warm and cared for. However, for others, the summer weather is getting too hot and humid. The sun is scorching them and their land. They’re desperately searching for shade and water. Be encouraged, God will give you shade and water. “He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs.” Psalm 107: 35
Lastly, some of you are enjoying your spring season. The weather is just right, not too hot or too cold. Everything is in bloom. The land is covered with beautiful flowers. Though for some, the spring is rainy and dreary. They feel overwhelmed by the flood of problems and negativity. Their life feels like they’re fighting one storm after another. Be encouraged, God is a life saver. “He stilled the storm to a whisper.” Psalm 107: 29
No matter what season you’re in, be encouraged. A season doesn’t last forever. God will lead you through it, if you let Him. The seasons change, but God remains the same and He will love you through them all.
I’ll have part two for you next week. Be blessed, everyone!
