Are You Ready to Rumble? By Tammy Glover

“Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army.  For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” 2 Chronicles 20:15

You open your eyes, turn over and look at the clock.  It’s 7:30 and you realize that it’s Monday.  You should have been up at 6:30 but you forgot to set your alarm clock.  You give yourself a mental slap upside the head and drag yourself  out of bed.  The battle has begun.

As you run around the house like a maniac to get ready for work, you stump your toe and spill your coffee on your shirt.  Unable to contain yourself, you let out a few expletives.  Round one of the fight is over and it’s not looking so good for you.

You make it to work, but you forgot your cell phone and your lunch on the kitchen counter.  Money is low, so lunch is a Mountain Dew and a Snickers.  Everyone needs your help and every project has been moved up to the top of the priority list.  Your head hurts and your stomach is yelling at you.  Round two is almost over and you’re already mentally cursing out and beating everyone who looks at you.  You can’t go down like this.  It’s time to fight back.  What are you doing just sitting there?

Round three is here, what’s your plan?  It’s time to put on your armor.  “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Ephesians 6:11.  It’s on, now.  You have your belt of truth, your breastplate of righteousness, your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, your shield of faith and your helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit.  (Ephesians 6:14-18)  For the final knockout, you hit him hard with praise.

Victory is yours today, tomorrow and forever because you have God’s army backing you up.  You are more than a conqueror.  Receive your blessing today.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”  Romans 8:28

  1. This was awesome. The problems I’m going through I’ve decided to turn it over to God. He has my back and my best interest at heart.

  2. Thanks Tam for the timely message. It’s so easy to forget to put on God’s armor when we’re in the midst of a battle. If we don’t put it on, we’ll lose to the enemy every time.
